Volunteers
Volunteers continue to play an important part at the Shrine. Some generous families offer their
vacation time, others have been faithful in dedicating time on weekends for Our
Lady. We start about 9:00 A.M.,
break for lunch prepared by our kind ladies, and then work until about 5:00 P.M. It is a labor of love for Our Blessed
Mother, and the workers enjoy the friendly time spent working together.
Volunteers may help any of projects.
See below some of the projects.

7th Anniversary Day Report
Mid-morning when the Pilgrims started
arriving on the Shrine grounds, they were greeted by a nice typical Fall day. About 11:30 A.M. they joined us in
preparing for the Procession which was to start at noon. Pilgrims grouped by states and
countries to carry their flag as they would process behind the Honor Guard flag
bearers, the men carrying the Blessed Mother statue, and those carrying the
jeweled crown for the large statue of Our Holy Mother at the Sacred Spot of the
Apparitions. The procession began
promptly at 12 noon with everyone singing the Shrine Song, “Ave, Ave, Mater Dei
that was written by Fr. Duren.
At the Sacred
Spot the large statue of Our Lady was crowned as everyone sang the song, “Bring
Flowers of the Rarest”. After
prayers and more hymns in preparation for the Anniversary Day observance, the
Prayer Vigil began at 1:00 P.M. All
of the people that gathered around the Sacred Spot prayerfully joined in with
the fifteen decade rosary and the closing hymns in honor of Our Heavenly Queen. It was our act of love for Her, who
has and continues to do so much for us.

Construction
progress continues, but volunteers have also been helping with pressure washing
and seal-coating the concrete on the main floor and the mezzanine area. This effort will help to protect the
concrete from the winter ice and snow.
With the sealer now applied and cured, construction work of setting up more support shoring and
building more forms will be our goal.
Some reinforcement steel bars are also being installed as the forms get
completed. This work will continue
until the winter weather puts a halt to our work.
Volunteers
continue to come from out of state and other distant areas of Wisconsin to help
with our construction, maintenance, and house-keeping projects. Also, everyone is so appreciative of
our volunteer ladies who graciously prepare the noon meal for our Work Bee each
Saturday.
God bless all
our volunteers!
